On 5th September, the results of the student joint project in the Department of Kansei, Behavioral, and Brain Sciences “Search for new relaxing sound sources for creating a better store atmosphere – proposed a unique gimmick from the viewpoint of how the purring sound of a cat can act by Shoko Arai, Yuki Ito, Uehara Juan, Manabu Ohashi, Tomoyuki Masuda” in “Rakuten Research session: “Proposal for utilizing Kansei Engineering to Enrich the Purchasing Experience of the Future” was awarded the Rakuten Research Prize at the autumn research presentation Meeting of Japan Society of Kansei Engineering.
The following programs are based on student joint project of the Department of Kansei, Behavioral, and Brain Sciences, the Graduate School of Comprehensive Human Sciences.
Misaki Koseki who was a graduate student until March, associate Professor Tomoyuki Masuda (Faculty of Medicine), who coached the project, and Professor Toshimasa Yamanaka (the Department of Kansei, Behavioral, and Brain Sciences/Faculty of Art and Design) will comment.

In fiscal 2017, in the 4th FD Program of the Graduate School of Comprehensive Human Sciences, Ryosuke Kuboki(in the third year of the doctoral course) who received the TF Excellence Award for the year held a open class.
He explained the correct attitude and practice of TF in the title of “The role of TF in experimental practice in the field of physiological practice”.
A research presentation was held at Tamagawa University by Mr. Kazuaki Nagasaka (3rd year doctoral course: Japan Society for the Promotion of Science). He was awarded the Research Encouragement Prize at the 1st Human Brain Imaging Study Group p (1st and 2nd, September, 2017)
