Introduction
Kansei is an unexplored discipline while everybody aware. In the field of Kansei Science, students will study fundamentals and application for research on the kansei, a tacit process that human usually aware in the life with human, artifacts, environment or design process. The research target is wide enough to cover any creative process including design. This means the study is expected to provide theoretical support to the creation and social communication in the age of mind and heart. Especially in this field, studying the Kansei Information, Kansei Environment Psychology, Kansei Information Design, students will challenge research in mind and heart such as 'what is kansei', 'function of kansei' or 'kansei and creativity'. Research targets are ranging design method such as interface and interaction design, product design or universal design, to marketing, medicine, management, technology or human behavior. Then the research always goes with cross-disciplinal collaboration of related fields such as design, art, robotic and computer science.
1) Course Works: Kansei process is a research target that is the source of creativity required the cross-discipline and international-scope. Then educate advanced researchers or professionals who will solve complex problem with strong leadership in the society. Also, polish the international communication skill using international meeting, internship as well as international projects with collaborative schools.
2) The ideal graduates can be advanced researcher with truly integrated ability of art and theory. Graduate are already working as professor or assistant under the research theme of 'Kansei Science'.
